Our skipper will take care of the sailing and our SUP coach will be happy to teach you how to paddle in a quiet bay.

For our SUP & Sail trips, individual bookings are only possible if an entire double or twin cabin is booked at the price of two people.

However, up to two weeks before the start of the trip, you have the option of naming another person who will travel with you and share the cabin with you.

Our SUP & Sail trips offer space for up to 6 guests on a sailing catamaran. All guests are accommodated in double cabins with en-suite bathrooms with WC and shower.

Of course, there is also a skipper on board who will be happy to tell you everything you ever wanted to know about sailing. There is also a SUP coach on board who will accompany you on the SUP tours and is also happy to give SUP beginner courses or technique trainings in quiet bays. Paddling experience – just like sailing skills – is, of course, not a must in order to be able to take part in one of our SUP & Sail trips.

The lengths of our SUP tours during our SUP & Sail trips vary and depend on our sailing route and, of course, the current weather conditions. In the mornings we decide whether we will paddle along the coast of an island, from bay to bay or within a large bay. Our SUP coach will accompany you, so you can definitely enjoy this special paddling experience to the fullest.

Do I need paddling experience for the SUP tours on the SUP & Sail trips?2023-12-04T18:08:40+00:00

No, our SUP tours on the SUP & Sail trips are also suitable for paddlers with little paddling experience. We mainly anchor in quite bays or on coastal areas between the islands that are acutally suitable to try stand up paddling easily. Our SUP coach accompanies you on all tours and is, of course, happy to offer assistance if required. If you’re a SUP beginner, that’s no problem either; the quiet bays are the perfect place to learn how to paddle step by step from our SUP coach, who will be happy to give you an individual SUP course and show you everything you need to know about the board and paddle.

On our Island Hopping SUP Trip Croatia, there is a strict maximum number of participants that offers each participant of the trip sufficient space and comfort on board; in case of the OTAC NIKOLA it is 27 guests.

Yes, and you have two options to choose from if you are traveling alone on one of our Island Hopping SUP trips:

1. You can book a bed in a twin cabin at the normal cabin price per person. In this case, you may be sharing the cabin with a same-sex stranger.

2. The second options is to book a bed in a double or twin cabin for single use, an additional surcharge will be applicable. You can find the corresponding surcharges under the menu item “Booking” on our website. In this case, we guarantee that you will have the cabin all to yourself during your Island Hopping Trip.

The yoga classes on our Island Hopping Trips are suitable for all skill levels, so no yoga experience is required to take part.

Our professional yoga coaches will show you the right poses for beginners and also for advanced yogis matching your personal level, course of motion and how you feel on the particular day.

We offer high quality iSUP’s for rent. The rental fee is € 79,- per board, incl. Paddle and leash. You can simply reserve your rental board with us directly when booking and up to 30 days before the start of your trip.

You are also welcome to take your own iSUP on the trip if you prefer.

If you would like to join on our SUP faris on our Island Hopping Trips, we will provide a professional GPS tracking system for your personal tracking and safety (this must be booked in addition, as it is not included in the tour price; participants can also share a device and take turns on the tours).

Your personal safety equipment for the Island Hopping Trips if you would like to take part in the SUP faris:

– Rental-Restube-buoy with suspender belt
– Certified life jacket
– Waterproof cell phone case with strap
– Drinking bottle with mounting option
– Waterproof duffel bag
– Boardleash (in case you bring your own iSUP)

A rental restube buoy and a GPS tracking device as well as the above-mentioned personal safety equipment are mandatory for participation in our SUP faris.

How long are the SUP faris on the Island Hopping Trips?2023-11-30T16:24:09+00:00

The lenghts of our SUP faris vary and also depend on our travel route. We are usually on the tour for about 3 hours, including breaks. It is not decided until the morning whether we will paddle along the coast of an island, from bay to bay or from one island to the next. We decide this due to the current wind and weather conditions, so we can always choose the best route for our SUP faris.

Our SUP coaches and a safety speedboat will accompany you on the SUP faris so that you can enjoy this special paddling experience to the fullest.

Yes, our SUP faris are rather suitable for advanced paddlers, therefore, SUP experience is definitely an advantage. Accompanied by our SUP coaches and our safety speedboat and equipped with a GPS tracking device, you are always safe and well guided on our tours.

If you’re still a SUP beginner, that’s no reason not to join our trips – we anchor daily in quiet bays where our SUP coaches will be happy to give you a SUP course and teach you how to use the board and paddle step by step.

CABIN Booking:

Our SUP & Sail Trips start and end in the Croatian city of Split (port in the greater Split area, max. 30 minutes by car from Split airport). We will announce the marina and the exact location where our sailing catamaran awaits us before the trip starts.

YACHT Booking:

You decide where you want to board and disembark your private sailing yacht: In Split or in Zadar (port in the greater Split or Zadar area, max. 30 minutes by car from the airport).

Can I book a single use cabin for myself on the SUP & Sail Trips?2024-02-19T15:56:32+00:00

CABIN Booking:

Individual bookings are only possible if an entire cabin is booked on our sailing catamaran.

If you don’t (yet) have a travel partner, no problem – you are, of course, still very welcome and can book a double cabin for yourself. You are welcome to name another person who will travel with you up to two weeks before the trip starts.

YACHT Booking:

With this option, only the entire yacht or several yachts can be booked. There are 2 yacht sizes to choose from; you decide how many friends you want to share your private yacht with.

Your fitness level and paddling experience do not play a role in whether our trips are suitable for you or not. Apart from the fact that our SUP coach will be happy to give you a SUP course in a quiet bay, our trips are about much more than just paddling: You’ll take a boat trip through the impressive island world, explore beautiful harbor towns, sit in a beach bar with friends and watch the sun set over the sea… And there’s much more that awaits you during our trips; come along and check it out by yourself!

Our trips are no classic sports trips, where it’s all about lots of exercise and sport – every ship has (at least) one sun deck where you can easily relax all day if you feel like it! The entire sports program is, of course, voluntary and only an offer from our side; those who prefer to go for a walk on land or sit together with friends until late at night and watch the sea will get paid off as well.

The skipper supports in coordinating the shopping at the supermarket at the beginning of our trip to ensure that we have enough food and drinks on board. In the spacious cockpit of your sailing catamaran, you can easily prepare meals together in the galley. Alternatively, you can of course moor in one of the port towns on the islands and enjoy local specialties in the restaurants and bars there.

No, meals are not included in the travel price.

Each passenger pays an amount in cash into a petty cash which is used for example for paying food and drinks at the supermarket at the beginning of the trip. You can, of course, decide individually whether you would like to cook together and eat on board or visit the restaurants in the port towns.

Yes, the minimum number of participants is 6 persons per yacht. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to 28 days before the trip starts. Can I book my travel to Croatia for the SUP & Sail Trip via THE SUP WEEK?2024-02-19T16:17:01+00:00

No, the individual travel would have to be booked by yourself.

If your trip starts in the greater Split area, there is the simple option of arriving via Split airport; if your trip goes through the Kornati islands, it is best to arrive via Zadar airport.

Alternatively, you can, of course, also drive to Spilt or Zadar – you decide which route is best for you.

Why do I need a rental GPS tracking device?2024-02-19T16:30:39+00:00

The GPS tracking device is obligatory and must be booked if you would like to take part in our SUP faris during our Island Hopping Trips.

It’s all about your safety – thanks to the GPS tracking device, we can determine your exact location at any time during the tour and come tosupport you at any time if you need assistance; we always have our safety speedboat with its own skipper with us.

You can book a GPS tracking system directly with your booking, the rental fee is € 45.00. However, you can also decide to rent a device at a later date before the trip and simply let us know by e-mail.

If you do not want to take part in all SUP faris during our trip, you can, of course, also share one device with your friend or partner; in this case, the two of you rent one device only and then take turns paddling on the tours.

You are welcome to bring your own SUP board, but only inflatable boards (iSUPs) are permitted. In this case, please also bring your own paddle and a leash.

Alternatively, you can also rent a SUP board from us; the rental fee is € 79.00 for the whole week. In this case we will provide you with an iSUP incl. paddle and board leash, so you don’t have to worry about anything here. You can let us knw directly when booking or at a later date if you would like to rent a SUP board from us.

Yes, we offer various travel and cancellation insurances that will give you the necessary safety in order to book your trip. You can find the different options on the respective booking page of your trip.

Our insurance partner is Europäische Reiseversicherung.

There is basically no restriction. However, you should keep in mind that storage space in the cabins is limited and that there are no storage rooms on the ships. That’s why it’s best to avoid suit cases (especially hard-cover suitcases are completely out of place here) and bring a duffel or flexible travel bag instead. You should also bear in mind that casual clothing is required on our trips and that you certainly don’t need to take evening dresses with you.

Daily breakfast and lunch as well as three dinners are included in the price of the Island Hopping Trips. The remaining four evenings during our Island Hopping Trips we will be moored in the port of a town where you can then go out to eat in a restaurant of your choice – there is a large selection of restaurants and bars, so there should be something to suit every taste! These evenings ashore are not included in the travel price.
