ISLAND HOPPING & HIKING
IN CROATIA

The Dalmatian coast and its many offshore islands not only impress with their dreamlike nature, the many rocky bays, long coastal roads and countless olive groves; the small harbors, lively towns and original villages enchant with their beautiful architecture and small charming stores and squares.

We explore these varied landscapes and idyllic places during our hiking trip! Our boat gives us the flexibility we need to reach the most beautiful bays and discover the diverse island world from there during our hikes.

Our boat

Our boat, the OTAC NIKOLA, is a typical Croatian motor vessel, a comfortable two-masted ship, which can accommodate approximately 24 guests in fully air-conditioned two- and alternatively three-bed cabins, each with its own toilet and bathroom – a perfect boat for this hiking trip!

THE TERRITORY
THE ISLANDS OF DALMATIA

The Croatian island world is the ideal destination for relaxed hiking tours: Large and small bays, sheltered coastal sections, varied hiking trails, a multitude of historic harbor towns and original villages make this hiking tour in Croatia – in short – a unique experience!

Our hikes – led and accompanied by a hiking guide from Naturfreunde Austria – take us across the islands of Brač, Hvar and Korčula. Our boat takes us to the starting points of our hikes – a remote bay or a small harbor town; we explore a part of the island and at the end of our hikes, our boat is already waiting to take us back on board a few bays further on.

BOOKING INFORMATION

The boat for the HIKING Trip in Croatia:

The ship, the OTAC NIKOLA, has a spacious sun deck with deck chairs which invites you to relax and of course sunbathe. In the rear part of the ship are also two roofed areas which nevertheless provide very pleasant shade, especially around noon – here, by the way, it is also particularly comfortable to sit together with friends. A fully air-conditioned saloon can accommodate all guests on board at the same time and therefore definitely offers enough space for the communal meals during our hiking trip. By the way, the brothers Andro and Kristijan, the owners of the OTAC NIKOLA, are actually on board themselves – Andro is the captain on the bridge, Kristijan takes care of a smooth operation on board and always has an open ear for his guests.

Catering on board:

On the OTAC NIKOLA the traditional Croatian cuisine with very varied dishes is on the menu. The diverse selection of freshly prepared, local specialties leaves nothing to be desired. The boat’s own bar also provides you with a generous selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks – so our sweet tooth will definitely be well catered for during our hiking trip.

Cabin description:

There are twin and double cabins below deck. These can be reached via a corridor inside the boat. There is fresh air in every cabin via a small window in the form of a porthole that can be opened. All these lower deck cabins also have a private bathroom with shower/WC and are of course also equipped with individually regulated air conditioning.

On the upper deck of OTAC NIKOLA there are double and twin outside cabins, which, by the way, can be accessed directly from the deck of the boat.
